Martin Morenz - Background in News Production and Education

Martin Morenz has a background spanning news media and education. He taught in Newcastle, Maine, filling in for teachers and ensuring that Lincoln Academy students engaged with the curriculum and assignments in a well-ordered manner. Moreover, Martin Morenz capably led high school group work and monitored independent study, while submitting required reports and documentation at the end of the school day.

Mr. Morenz earned his BS in journalism from Northeastern University in Boston and began his career as an anchor, producer, and reporter at WMTW TV/Newschannel 8 in Portland, Maine. His responsibilities with the ABC affiliate included representing the station at local community events. For much of the 1990s, Mr. Morenz served as anchor and news director at WGMC/Newswatch 3 in Worcester, Massachusetts. Overseeing the efforts of 17 personnel, he was active in the community, hosting events on behalf of businesses and nonprofits.
